Travel in Portugal by Bus
Portugal offers a good bus link for tourists who travel from neighboring countries as well as those who travel within the towns of Portugal. In addition to Rodoviara, the former domestic bus service that was later privatized, there are other private bus companies in Portugal such as FVA and Rede Expressos Renex, which offer a good service to the tourists who travel by bus. Travel by private buses in Portugal is more convenient as they provide fast service and also allows tourists to travel to those destinations not covered by trains. The fare in private buses is higher than Rodoviara, though travel in these buses within the town is a cheaper option.
